Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the regulatory authority for the emirate’s healthcare sector, is set to showcase a series of groundbreaking projects and initiatives at Arab Health 2024, reinforcing its commitment to fortifying the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi and positioning the emirate as a global healthcare leader.

The participation aims to emphasize the significance of collaboration in advancing global healthcare systems and ensuring the efficiency of healthcare services for all community members.

Among the highlights of DoH’s showcase are several genomic projects aligned with the National Genome Strategy’s goals, striving to establish a comprehensive and sustainable genetic system. These efforts are geared towards a transformative impact on healthcare services, prioritizing the health and safety of community members through the analysis of genetic data and the formulation of effective treatment and preventive plans.

Visitors to Arab Health 2024 will have the opportunity to explore DoH’s new initiatives, including the ‘Smart Ambulance’ and the ‘Unified Medical Operations Command’ system for healthcare emergency management, among other projects.

Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of DoH, expressed the significance of Arab Health as a pivotal platform to showcase key projects and initiatives. She highlighted the event’s role in fostering cooperation with current and future partners on both local and global levels. These collaborations aim to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier healthcare destination, contributing to the global effort in addressing common challenges and creating a positive impact on healthcare sectors worldwide.

Al Ghaithi stated, “In Abu Dhabi, we believe in the power of collaborative work to enhance the global healthcare sector and address global challenges. The transfer of knowledge and experiences contributes to the advancement of healthcare systems, enabling them to adapt to current and future challenges.”

During DoH’s participation, a series of panel discussions will address crucial healthcare topics, including the future of precision medicine in light of genomics, the integration of innovations and artificial intelligence in healthcare, the importance of mental health, and the obesity epidemic’s impact on communities.

Arab Health, the largest medical exhibition in the Middle East, will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 29th to February 1st, 2024. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi invites stakeholders, partners, and the global healthcare community to engage in discussions and collaborations for a healthier and more resilient future.
