Kashkadarya, The Gulf Observer: A pivotal meeting transpired at the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry, featuring the participation of key stakeholders including Iqboljon Ergashev, Chairman of the Committee, Olimjon Jumayev, Chairman of the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, and the leadership of Chongqing Sunfeel Intelligent Technology.
The focal point of the discussion centered around an ambitious project aimed at establishing a state-of-the-art sericulture complex in Kashkadarya, marking a significant stride in the region’s textile industry.
The project, outlined in two distinct stages, garnered attention for its comprehensive approach to revitalizing the sericulture sector. The initial phase, set to commence this year, involves the creation of expansive mulberry plantations spanning 500 hectares. This cultivation will be facilitated by innovative rain irrigation techniques, fostering optimal conditions for mulberry growth.
A key aspect of the project entails the processing of thousands of tons of wet cocoons annually. Plans include the construction of a sophisticated complex dedicated to the production of silk fabric and a diverse range of finished products.
