Ashgabat hosts International Conference and Exhibition ITTC-2023
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, hosted the 2nd International Conference and Exhibition “International Transport Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2023”, on Wednesday.
The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by members of the government, heads of ministries and departments, international diplomatic missions, media, and educational institutions.
At the opening ceremony, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov delivered a speech entitled “International Transport Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2023” to the participants of the 2nd international conference and exhibition.
“I sincerely believe that this event will help to support the initiatives of large-scale, national and regional projects aimed at the creation of multilateral international transit transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as to raise trade and economic cooperation between the countries of Asia and Europe to a qualitatively new level,” the message of the President of Turkmenistan reads.
In his message, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the connection of the high-speed highway connecting the eastern region of Turkmenistan with the center of the country to the Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi highway will provide cargo vehicles of neighboring Uzbekistan with access to the port on the Caspian Sea and from there by sea to the Caucasus, Europe, the southern regions of Russia, the north of Iran, the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
More than 150 local and foreign companies are participating in the forum, and their achievements are showcased in the Exhibition Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The international conference will be attended by representatives of the government, transport and logistics companies, international financial structures, specialized agencies, associations and unions, research and design institutions, and higher education institutions.
