Azerbaijan, United States Reaffirm Commitment to Expanding Strategic Energy Cooperation

Azerbaijan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening energy cooperation, highlighting new opportunities for collaboration across the sector during high-level talks held in Baku.

The discussions took place between Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, and U.S. officials, including Rebecca Neff and Sara Lemming, according to media reports.

Both sides underscored the long-standing partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States in the energy sector, noting that recent developments have further strengthened bilateral ties. Particular emphasis was placed on the Strategic Partnership Charter signed earlier this year, which was described as a milestone agreement paving the way for expanded cooperation in energy and related industries.

Officials highlighted ongoing collaboration between SOCAR and American companies across various segments of the energy value chain, reflecting the depth and diversity of the partnership.

The meeting also emphasized the strategic importance of major regional initiatives, including the TRIPP project and energy routes associated with the Middle Corridor, as key drivers of future cooperation and enhanced regional connectivity.

The talks reflect growing momentum in Azerbaijan–U.S. relations, particularly in the energy domain, as both countries continue to explore avenues for deepening strategic and economic engagement.
