AtlantaSanad Assurance Launches Morocco’s First AI-Powered Insurance Assistant “Assia”

Mohammedia, The Gulf Observer: AtlantaSanad Assurance has unveiled Assia, its first artificial intelligence-powered assistant, becoming the first insurance company in Morocco to introduce such a service.

Available 24/7 via the company’s website, Assia enables customers to access insurance services at any time without waiting for office hours. The assistant is designed to simplify everyday interactions, including assisting with auto accident claims, guiding users in completing amicable observations, advising on contacts with authorities, and clarifying the documents needed to build a claim file. It also provides explanations of guarantees, conditions, ceilings, and thresholds in various insurance contracts.

Beyond claims, Assia offers guidance for subscribing to insurance products, managing claims, and exploring options for savings and retirement product buy-backs. According to the company, the new platform is expected to enhance transparency, reduce friction in claims management, and improve overall customer experience.

“The launch of Assia is part of the continuity of our innovation strategy and represents a reaffirmation of our commitment to putting technology at the service of insurance and policyholders,” said Jalal Benchekroun, General Director of AtlantaSanad Assurance. The name Assia derives from AtlantaSanad Solutions IA, underscoring the company’s ambition to position artificial intelligence at the heart of its customer experience.

Prior to Assia, AtlantaSanad had introduced a human-style chatbot integrated with instant messaging services to streamline processes such as requesting quotes, declaring claims, and tracking them across different branches. With Assia, routine and repetitive queries will be automated, while complex cases will continue to be handled by human agents, ensuring a balance between technological performance and personalized service.

Formed in 2020 from the merger of Atlanta and Sanad under the Holmarcom Group, AtlantaSanad Assurance provides life and non-life insurance products across Morocco through more than 360 exclusive agents and around 300 broker partners. In bancassurance, the company became the exclusive partner of Crédit du Maroc in January 2025 and continues to promote inclusive insurance options in cooperation with Barid Cash under the oversight of the CNRA.
