Addressing the gathering, President Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Zakirov on his milestone anniversary, extending wishes for his continued health, family well-being, and further artistic achievements. The ceremony paid tribute to the immense legacy of the Zakirov dynasty, highlighting its pivotal role in shaping Uzbekistan’s musical heritage. The contributions of Karim Zakirov and Botir Zakirov were particularly acknowledged as foundational to the country’s modern popular music tradition.

Speakers emphasized that it is rare for an entire family to dedicate generations to the advancement of culture and the arts. Farrukh Zakirov, continuing this distinguished legacy, was praised for elevating national popular music to new heights and for gaining widespread recognition across Central Asia, the Commonwealth, and the broader Turkic world. His numerous honorary titles from multiple countries were cited as a testament to his far-reaching artistic influence.

The event also celebrated Zakirov’s enduring association with the legendary Yalla ensemble, which he has led for over five decades. For 55 years, the ensemble has performed across prestigious international stages, producing more than 400 songs that have become part of Uzbekistan’s cultural golden fund. Iconic tracks such as “Yallama Yorim,” “Yol Bo’lsin,” “Handalak,” “Majnuntol,” and “Kelibdi” were recognized for embodying the national spirit, while compositions like “Toshkentim Onam,” “Uchquduq,” and “Shakhrisabz” have promoted Uzbekistan’s cultural identity globally.

Special recognition was also given to members of the ensemble, including Javlon Tukhtayev, Abbos Aliyev, Temur Khalikov, and Igor Khalikov, for their longstanding contributions to the group’s creative success.

Highlighting Zakirov’s role beyond performance, President Mirziyoyev commended his mentorship of emerging artists and his active participation in national cultural initiatives, including projects such as The Voice. His guidance to young performers was described as an exemplary model of artistic leadership and dedication.

During the ceremony, it was announced that a presidential decree and resolution had been signed to honor Zakirov’s outstanding contributions. Among the key initiatives, Children’s Music and Art School No. 7 in Tashkent’s Yashnabad district will be renamed in his honor. The institution will feature a children’s “Yalla” ensemble, a youth creative laboratory, and modern recording studios, alongside the introduction of performance masterclasses and mentorship programs. Talented students will also receive opportunities to participate in international competitions with state support.

Officials expressed confidence that the institution would serve as a leading center for nurturing future generations of artists and preserving the rich legacy of the Zakirov family.

In recognition of his lifelong dedication to the development of national art and culture, President Mirziyoyev awarded Farrukh Zakirov the prestigious “Buyuk Khizmatlari Uchun” Order at the conclusion of the ceremony.
