Azerbaijan and Turkic States Discuss Insurance Market Integration at Kazakhstan Insurance Forum
Baku, The Gulf Observer: A delegation comprising senior representatives of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (ASA) participated in the Kazakhstan Insurance Forum in Almaty, bringing together insurance-sector stakeholders from nearly 30 countries.
The forum was attended by around 200 participants, including representatives of insurance supervisory authorities, insurance associations and professional organizations operating in insurance markets.
Vusal Gurbanov, Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, addressed a panel titled “Strategy 2030: Directions of Legislative Development and Transformation,” while Abas Miskarli, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, participated in the panel “Silk Road Insurance Belt: Integration of Turkic World Insurance Markets.”
The Azerbaijani representatives provided detailed information on reforms carried out in the country’s insurance sector, the results achieved to date and priority objectives for its further development.
The Azerbaijani delegation’s contributions, delivered mainly in a question-and-answer format, attracted considerable interest from participants of the forum.
Discussions also focused on the role of the Turkic World Insurance Association in advancing insurance markets across Turkic states. Participants highlighted the opportunities offered by the association to strengthen cooperation and integration among the insurance markets of member countries, expand the exchange of experience and facilitate the implementation of joint initiatives.
The forum also emphasized that deeper cooperation between the insurance sectors of Turkic states could contribute to the development of a stronger regional insurance ecosystem and promote closer professional ties among industry stakeholders.
