Azerbaijan–Georgia Youth Forum Opens in Baku with Emphasis on Future Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Azerbaijan–Georgia Youth Forum officially opened at the Baku Congress Center, bringing together government officials, parliamentarians, and youth representatives from both countries to strengthen bilateral ties and promote youth cooperation.
The event commenced with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Georgia, setting a ceremonial tone for a day of dialogue and engagement.
Prominent speakers at the opening session included Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports; Givi Mikanadze, Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth; Arzu Naghiyev, Member of Parliament and Head of the Azerbaijan–Georgia Interparliamentary Working Group; and youth representatives Esmira Nasibova, Ali Suleymanli, and Kevan Gabeli.
In remarks to the media, Minister Givi Mikanadze highlighted the forum’s importance as a platform for youth development and regional integration. “We observe the sincere emotions of young people here. Young people are discussing the future. Every year, we allocate a budget for youth organizations and activities. I believe that this forum is very crucial for building relations between the two countries,” he said.
Minister Mikanadze emphasized the role of such forums in unlocking the full potential of youth, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the future of their nations.
Following the opening speeches, the forum continued with an interactive “Youth to Youth” open dialogue session, offering participants an opportunity to exchange views, share experiences, and explore collaborative initiatives.
The Azerbaijan–Georgia Youth Forum serves as a key initiative to promote cross-border understanding, civic engagement, and cooperation between the rising generations of the two neighboring countries.
