China and Belarus Vow to Strengthen Strategic Partnership During High-Level Talks

Minsk, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang, during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday, expressed China’s readiness to work closely with Belarus to advance their all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. The meeting took place at the Palace of Independence in Minsk and marked a significant reaffirmation of the strong ties between the two nations.

Premier Li highlighted that, despite shifts in the international landscape, the relationship between China and Belarus has remained robust and dynamic over the past 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. He emphasized that both countries have adhered to principles of mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, and common development, resulting in fruitful cooperation that has delivered tangible benefits to their peoples.

Li Qiang reiterated China’s commitment to further enhancing multilateral cooperation with Belarus and to promoting a global governance system that is more just and equitable. He also underscored the importance of safeguarding the common interests of developing countries.

Belarusian President Lukashenko praised the unprecedented growth in Belarus-China relations, noting that the partnership is currently at its highest level in history. He acknowledged the steadfast support both countries have provided each other on key issues of mutual concern.

President Lukashenko expressed Belarus’s readiness to deepen practical cooperation with China in various sectors, including economy, trade, agriculture, and science and technology. He also voiced Belarus’s willingness to actively participate in global initiatives proposed by China, with the aim of further developing the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

The discussions reflect the ongoing commitment of China and Belarus to strengthening their bilateral ties and promoting shared goals on the international stage.
