China expects to deepen ties with Malaysia on all fronts: Wang Yi
New York, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the country expects to deepen ties with Malaysia on all fronts while meeting his Malaysian counterpart Zambry Abdul Kadir in New York on Tuesday.
Wang is in the U.S., where he is expected to chair a United Nations Security Council high-level meeting on the Palestinian-Israeli issue as China is the rotating president of the council this month.
China earlier this month announced that they would allow visa-free entry for Malaysian travelers for up to 15 days, and Malaysia followed suit and granted Chinese citizens 30 days visa-free travel.
Wang said next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China and hopes to work alongside Malaysia and push the bilateral ties to a new level.
