Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam Holds Tedarus Al-Quran Ceremony
Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: The Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD) organized a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at the Masrain Hall of Ar-Raiyan, the residence of Vice President II Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali in Jalan Jerudong.
Speaking at the event, Datin Hajah Masni emphasized that the ceremony aims to instill a love for the Holy Quran among the younger generations of women associations and encourage the practice of regular Quran recitation in their daily lives.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Datin Hajah Masni, followed by the Tedarus recitation, performed in turns by members of CWBD’s Board of Governance and representatives from affiliated women’s associations.
The ceremony also featured the recitation of Tahlil, led by Hajah Hajidah binti Haji Abdul Wahab, followed by Doa Tahlil, recited by Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani. Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam were recited by Pengiran Hajah Rukiah binti Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar.
More than 70 members from 13 associations affiliated with CWBD participated in the gathering. These included Pertiwi, Women’s Institute of Brunei Darussalam, Welfare Body of the Spouses of Senior Government Officials and Women Officials, Belait District Women Welfare Association, Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Malay Teachers Association, Tutong District Women Welfare Association, RPN Kampong Lambak Kanan Women’s Welfare Body, Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam, Kampong Lambak Youth Association, Kampong Junjungan Women Association, Nurul Islam Association, and Welfare Association of the Spouses of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
The ceremony served as a spiritual and communal gathering, strengthening religious devotion and unity among the women’s organizations in Brunei Darussalam.
