Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Visits Nepal Embassy, Expresses Solidarity Over Flood Tragedy
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad and signed the Condolence Book opened in memory of those who lost their lives in the devastating floods and landslides that recently struck Nepal.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Ishaq Dar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal during this difficult time.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that climate change was having a disproportionate impact on countries across the region, resulting in severe consequences for lives, livelihoods and infrastructure.
He prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives, the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of those who remained missing following the natural disaster.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Nepal’s relief and recovery efforts, Senator Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s readiness to extend all possible assistance to help Nepal overcome the consequences of the calamity.
