His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Inaugurates Masjid An-Na’im at Kampong Panchor Mengkubau

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, graced the official opening of the newly constructed Masjid An-Na’im at the Kampong Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme on Friday. His Majesty also led the first congregational Friday prayers at the mosque.

Upon arrival, His Majesty and members of the royal family were warmly welcomed by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, along with the State Mufti, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.

Also present at the prestigious event were His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.

Following his arrival, His Majesty officially inaugurated the mosque by signing a commemorative plaque. The ceremony was further marked by the chanting of the Takbir “Allahu Akbar” three times, led by the Minister of Religious Affairs, symbolizing the formal opening of Masjid An-Na’im Kampong Panchor Mengkubau.

The newly established mosque is expected to serve as a significant place of worship and community engagement for residents in the area, reinforcing Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to Islamic teachings and the development of religious infrastructure.
