Indonesia Pledges Continuity for 2045 Digital Indonesia Vision

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: In a recent announcement, Indonesian Communication and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi has reaffirmed the commitment of the current government to sustain the ambitious 2045 Digital Indonesia Vision (VID) initiative, assuring continuity into the tenure of the next government.
Launched in 2023 by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the 2045 VID stands as a pivotal blueprint outlining a comprehensive vision and strategy for digital advancement, encompassing all stakeholders in the digital ecosystem. Minister Budi Arie Setiadi emphasized the indispensable nature of this vision, indicating its trajectory till 2045 with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and sustainability.
Speaking from Depok, West Java, the minister outlined the core pillars of the 2045 VID, namely digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, and digital community. These pillars are poised to receive ongoing developmental focus, with the objective of optimizing digitalization throughout Indonesia, aligning with the national aspiration of achieving developed status.
Highlighting the imperative nature of digitalization, Minister Budi Arie Setiadi stressed, “Development must encompass digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, and digital community.” This assertion underscores the integral role digitalization plays in the nation’s progress.

Among its ambitious targets is propelling Indonesia to rank as the world’s fifth-strongest economy.
