Iranian President Congratulates Maduro on Re-election, Vows to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended his congratulations to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on his re-election victory. In a phone call on Monday, a week after Maduro was declared the winner of the presidential election in Venezuela, Pezeshkian expressed Tehran’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Caracas across various sectors.
During their conversation, the two leaders discussed the current state and future prospects of Tehran-Caracas relations. Both presidents emphasized their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation in all fields.
Maduro addressed the post-election unrest in Venezuela, attributing the violence to a Zionist plot allegedly orchestrated with the cooperation of the United States and several Western countries. He assured that Venezuela would overcome these challenges and emerge victorious.
President Pezeshkian condemned any form of foreign interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs, reiterating Iran’s support for Venezuela’s sovereignty and stability.
The call marks a reaffirmation of the strong bilateral ties between Iran and Venezuela, with both nations signaling their intention to deepen their collaboration in the face of external pressures.
