Kazakh President Tokayev Appoints New Ambassadors to Uzbekistan, UK and Romania
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed new ambassadors to Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, and Romania as part of Kazakhstan’s ongoing diplomatic reshuffle, according to decrees issued by the Presidential Office.
Under the presidential decrees, Yeraly Tugzhanov has been named Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, while Alibek Bakayev has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, following his release from his previous diplomatic post.
President Tokayev also appointed Amangeldy Sainov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Romania.
The decrees further announced changes to the existing diplomatic corps. Beibut Atamkulov was relieved of his duties as Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, while Yerlik Ali was dismissed from his post as ambassador to Romania.
The appointments reflect Kazakhstan’s continued efforts to strengthen its diplomatic representation and deepen bilateral relations with key international partners in Central Asia and Europe as the country advances its foreign policy objectives.
