Oman Participates in 6th Arab Council for Population and Development Session in Cairo

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Economy, participated in the 6th session of the Arab Council for Population and Development, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on November 24-25, 2024.

Oman’s delegation was led by Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy.

The session addressed key topics related to population and development across Arab countries. Discussions focused on population policies and programs, with particular emphasis on the role of youth in advancing the green economy and empowering seniors to actively contribute to society.

The council serves as a platform for Arab countries to collaborate on strategies that promote sustainable development and address regional demographic challenges. The Sultanate’s participation underscores its commitment to contributing to collective Arab efforts in these vital areas.
