President Emomali Rahmon Receives Newly Appointed Emergency Management Officials

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon on Saturday received for an interview officials nominated for appointment to senior positions within the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence.
By decisions of the Government of Tajikistan, Rahmon Saidnavarzoda and Muhabbat Mirzozoda were appointed Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defence.
A number of experienced and qualified officials were also appointed as heads of structural divisions of the Committee’s central office, as well as heads of the Committee’s departments in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and the Sughd and Khatlon regions.
During the meeting, President Rahmon instructed the newly appointed officials to strengthen their professional preparedness for preventing and responding to natural and man-made disasters and effectively mitigating their consequences.
The President also emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality training for personnel and rescue units, improving the readiness of the sector’s military formations, and maintaining relevant machinery and equipment in good operational condition.
He further called for greater attention to learning international languages and mastering modern technologies, while stressing the importance of fostering a strong sense of responsibility toward the homeland and the people of Tajikistan.
