President Prabowo Stresses Economic Sector’s Role in Driving Growth at APEC CEO Summit
Lima, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has underscored the critical role of dynamic economic sector participation in achieving growth and prosperity during his keynote address at the APEC CEO Summit in Peru on Thursday.
“Without the dynamic participation of the economic sector, basically we cannot have growth and prosperity,” President Prabowo stated, emphasizing that economic activity is fundamental to alleviating poverty, fostering relevance, and creating employment opportunities.
Highlighting the interconnectedness of peace and prosperity with robust economic engagement, Prabowo lauded the contributions of the business community, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders in driving progress.
He described the Pacific region as one of the world’s most dynamic, citing its impressive economic growth, abundant natural resources, and technological potential. “The economic growth, the potential technological achievements, the demographics, the resources available in the Pacific and Indo-Pacific regions—all point to a bright economic future for all,” he noted.
Amid ongoing global geopolitical tensions, President Prabowo expressed optimism that world leaders would prioritize the common good over conflict. “In the interests of humanity, I believe that the leaders of the great powers of the world will always opt for the common good,” he added.
The APEC CEO Summit brought together prominent business leaders and policymakers from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss strategies for advancing sustainable growth, innovation, and regional cooperation. President Prabowo’s remarks resonated with calls for stronger collaboration and inclusivity in addressing global challenges.
