Serdar Berdimuhamedov Attends Opening of Bäherden Ceramic Products Factory
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, participated in the opening ceremony of the Bäherden ceramic products factory on Wednesday, located in the Baherden district of the Ahal velayat. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers, the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications, heads of law enforcement agencies, ministers, sectoral departments, the head of administration of the Ahal velayat, and representatives of the public.
The new production complex, spanning 30 hectares, includes factories for the production of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware, as well as repair workshops, administrative offices, and residential facilities. The factory is equipped with advanced machinery from leading manufacturers in Italy, Germany, and Türkiye, ensuring the highest standards of production.
This state-of-the-art facility is set to produce 3.3 million square meters of ceramic tiles and 120,000 units of sanitary products annually. Notably, over 93% of the raw materials used for production will be sourced from local suppliers, highlighting the factory’s commitment to supporting the national economy. The factory also provides employment for over 450 individuals, contributing to job creation in the region.
Representatives from the Italian companies that supplied the equipment emphasized that the facility’s machinery meets international standards for quality, safety, and environmental friendliness.
During the ceremony, President Berdimuhamedov toured the factory and familiarized himself with its products, before officially launching its operations. To mark the occasion, the President presented the factory management with keys to the new equipment, symbolizing the successful completion of the facility’s construction and its future role in Turkmenistan’s industrial development.
