Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kohir Rasulzoda Discuss Expansion of Turkmenistan–Tajikistan Economic and Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting on Friday with Prime Minister of Kohir Rasulzoda, who is in Ashgabat to attend the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

At the outset of the talks, Rasulzoda conveyed warm greetings and a message from the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, underscoring the continued high-level political dialogue between the two friendly nations.

Both sides discussed a broad agenda of bilateral cooperation, reaffirming that relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are based on friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual respect.

Economic cooperation featured prominently in the discussions, with the two sides emphasizing the importance of further expanding mutual trade and strengthening practical engagement across key sectors. They also highlighted the role of the Intergovernmental Commission between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan as an important mechanism for advancing joint initiatives and development projects.
