Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Visits Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi in the Saadiyat Cultural District of Abu Dhabi.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that investing in museums represents an investment in humanity’s future, as museums foster awareness among younger generations and equip them with a deeper understanding of the past to help shape the future.
He highlighted the UAE’s rapidly developing museum sector, describing it as a reflection of the country’s growing commitment to strengthening its cultural and heritage institutions.
Sheikh Mohammed noted that the UAE continues to support and advance its cultural sectors, with museums playing an important role in preserving national heritage and connecting the country’s history and achievements with the wider world.
He also underscored the significance of museums in documenting the UAE’s remarkable journey, safeguarding the legacy of previous generations and inspiring future generations to build upon their achievements.
During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the museum’s immersive experience, which takes visitors on a journey through 13.8 billion years of natural history, exploring the origins and evolution of the universe, Earth and life.
He was also introduced to the museum’s collections, interactive exhibitions and advanced technologies, including rare meteorites and fossils, as well as reimagined scenes showcasing Abu Dhabi’s natural environment.
At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Mohammed joined the museum team for a commemorative photograph. Members of the team expressed their pride and delight at receiving His Highness at the museum.
