Turkmenistan and Belarus Review Bilateral Cooperation in Ashgabat

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation, including political and diplomatic engagement, trade and economic ties, as well as cultural and humanitarian relations.

The two parties underscored the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Belarus within the framework of the United Nations and reiterated the importance of strengthening effective collaboration within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

They also explored prospects for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the organisation of relevant joint events during the current year, aimed at further enhancing people-to-people contacts and mutual understanding between the two nations.

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted that the meeting reflects the continued commitment of both countries to deepening constructive and mutually beneficial relations across multiple sectors.
