Turkmenistan, United States Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting on Wednesday with Kristin Hawkins, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United States in Turkmenistan, to review bilateral relations and discuss avenues for expanding cooperation across key sectors.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed current issues of Turkmen-U.S. cooperation, with particular focus on advancing political and diplomatic dialogue, strengthening trade and economic ties, and enhancing collaboration in the cultural and humanitarian fields.

The officials also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue and coordination on shared global and regional challenges.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States, reflecting their commitment to maintaining positive bilateral relations and expanding engagement in areas of common interest.
