UAE and Finland Explore Enhanced Educational Collaboration

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of Education, met with His Excellency Petteri Orpo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, at the Zayed Educational Complex in Dubai to discuss strategies for strengthening educational cooperation and achieving shared national educational objectives.
Key topics addressed during the meeting included fostering innovation in education, promoting academic collaboration, and adopting modern teaching methods. Both parties exchanged insights on curriculum design, innovative teaching approaches, teacher training programs, and Finland’s regional educational practices.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Qasim, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Amna Mahmoud, UAE Ambassador to Finland, Tuula Yrjölä, Finnish Ambassador to the UAE, and other senior officials.
Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri highlighted the UAE Ministry of Education’s dedication to leveraging Finland’s global expertise to enhance the competitiveness and outcomes of the national education system. She emphasized the strong academic ties between the UAE and Finland and the mutual commitment to advancing educational standards and achieving strategic goals.
Following the meeting, Sarah Al Amiri accompanied the Finnish delegation on a tour of the Zayed Educational Complex, showcasing its cutting-edge facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, playgrounds, and creative spaces. She emphasized that these facilities align with the UAE’s academic aspirations and foster a sustainable culture of innovation in education.
