UAE and Jordan Call for Regional Stability, Freedom of Navigation in Strait of Hormuz
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed the latest developments in the Middle East during a telephone conversation on Monday, with both sides strongly condemning recent Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait.
During the call, the two ministers reviewed the evolving regional situation and expressed strong condemnation of the hostile Iranian missile and drone attacks against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, underscoring the UAE’s unwavering support for all measures aimed at protecting the security, sovereignty and stability of the three countries.
The discussions also focused on intensifying regional and international diplomatic efforts to contain the escalating tensions in the Middle East. Both ministers stressed the importance of coordinated action to prevent further instability and promote peace across the region.
Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah and Safadi emphasized the need to ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law, highlighting its vital role in maintaining regional security, safeguarding global trade routes and contributing to long-term peace and stability.
