UAE, Angola Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Security Amid Rising Tensions

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written message from João Manuel Lourenço concerning the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The message was delivered to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a meeting with Téte António, Minister of External Relations of Angola.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed recent regional developments, including the repercussions of missile attacks attributed to Iran targeting the UAE and several fraternal countries. They discussed the broader implications of these developments on international maritime security, global energy supplies, the world economy, as well as regional and international peace and stability.
The discussions also covered the announcement by Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, with both parties exploring avenues to support sustainable peace and long-term stability in the region.
In addition to security matters, the UAE and Angola reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, particularly in trade and economic development. This comes within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the steady growth in UAE–Angola relations, noting that the partnership agreement has opened new opportunities to expand economic cooperation and advance shared development goals.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, reflecting the importance both nations place on deepening diplomatic and economic engagement.
