London, The Gulf Observer: It’s been 70 years since the last funeral of a monarch in the UK, and one family has had a key role at both.

Able Seaman Joseph McGonagle-Turner will be pulling the state gun carriage upon which the Queen’s coffin will rest as it travels from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch.

His grandfather fulfilled the same role at the funeral of King George VI in 1952 – biography and history are woven through the same cloth.

AB McGonagle-Turner told Sky correspondent Alex Rossi: “It feels incredible even more so because I didn’t get to meet my grandfather – it makes it all that more special because I get to walk in his footsteps. It’s an honour to be here.”
