Vietnamese Leaders Pay Tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh and Heroic Martyrs on Lunar New Year

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: A high-ranking delegation comprising members of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly (NA), the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee paid floral tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on Thursday to mark the Tết (Lunar New Year) 2025.
The delegation was led by Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and included prominent figures such as former Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, State President Lương Cường, NA Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn, former NA Chairpersons Nguyễn Sinh Hùng and Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, as well as Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Trần Cẩm Tú, and VFF Central Committee President Đỗ Văn Chiến. Representatives from various ministries and agencies also joined the tribute.
The leaders expressed their profound respect and gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh, honoring him as a genius leader, national liberation hero, and a figure who devoted his life to the people and the nation. They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Vietnam’s development goals, as outlined in the 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution, to usher in a new era of national growth and contribute to regional and global peace, stability, and cooperation.
Following the tribute, the delegation laid a wreath and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.
On the same day, delegations from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, the Central Public Security Party Commission and the Ministry of Public Security, as well as Hanoi’s Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee, paid their respects to President Hồ Chí Minh and laid flowers at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs.
Additionally, leaders and former leaders of the Party and State visited Mai Dịch Cemetery in Hanoi to offer incense and lay wreaths in tribute to revolutionary predecessors and heroic martyrs who made significant contributions to the country’s liberation and development.
The activities reflected the nation’s deep gratitude and reverence for its leaders and martyrs while reinforcing the resolve to uphold their legacy and continue building a prosperous and resilient Vietnam.
