2,677 Contestants Advance to Second Round of Tajikistan’s National Competition “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland”

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: A total of 2,677 contestants from cities and districts across Tajikistan will participate in the second round of the national competition “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland,” according to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The ministry informed the National Information Agency of Tajikistan (Khovar) that 6,245 participants competed in the first round of the competition nationwide across five categories. Of these, 2,677 contestants qualified for the subsequent stages.

According to the summarized results, 320 participants from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 632 from Sughd Region, 896 from Khatlon Region, 421 from the districts subordinate to the republic, and 408 from Dushanbe advanced to the next rounds of the competition.

The republican competition is being held in the following categories:

  • Composition and songwriting;
  • Vocal performance;
  • Instrumental performance;
  • Fine arts; and
  • Design.

The competition aims to promote artistic creativity, identify talented individuals, and support the development of culture and the arts throughout the country.

Authorities also noted that for 2026, a total of 8.26 million somoni has been allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon, to support the organization and conduct of the competition.

The substantial funding underscores the government’s continued commitment to fostering cultural development and encouraging young talents across Tajikistan.
