President Tokayev Meets with EU High Representative Josep Borrell
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President, to discuss the future of Kazakhstan-EU relations, as reported by Akorda.
The meeting centered on the prospects for enhancing cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, reflecting a shared commitment to mutual trust, respect, and common priorities.
In addition to bilateral relations, President Tokayev and High Representative Borrell exchanged views on pressing international issues and regional cooperation among Central Asian states. This dialogue underscored the importance of a collaborative approach to addressing global and regional challenges.
Earlier, during Borrell’s official visit to Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu highlighted the steady development of lasting relationships between Kazakhstan and the EU. He emphasized that these relationships are grounded in mutual trust and respect, reinforcing shared priorities over the past few years.
