Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) and the National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) have formalized their collaboration to enhance cybersecurity measures and safeguard the nation’s digital infrastructure.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during a ceremony held at PTA headquarters, signaling a mutual commitment to address cyber threats and build resilience against emerging digital challenges.

According to a news release issued on Friday, the agreement focuses on joint efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s cybersecurity framework, ensuring the safety and reliability of its digital ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Chairman PTA emphasized the critical importance of cybersecurity in protecting communication networks and national IT infrastructure. He highlighted the need for close collaboration in combating the increasingly sophisticated threats to the digital landscape.

Dr. Haider Abbas, Director-General NCERT, echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of a unified approach to address growing cyber risks, particularly those impacting critical sectors.
