Paris, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Saeed Esmaeili has secured a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, triumphing in a closely contested 67kg final. Esmaeili emerged victorious against Parviz Nasibov of Ukraine with a 6-5 win, claiming first place in the prestigious sporting event.

Esmaeili’s journey to the final was marked by impressive victories over opponents from Algeria, Cuba, and Armenia, securing his place in the championship match. His gold medal adds to Iran’s wrestling success at the Games, with Mohammad-Hadi Saravi and Amin Mirzazadeh previously earning gold and bronze in the 97kg and 130kg categories, respectively.
