UAE Condemns Israeli Minister’s Remarks on Al-Aqsa Mosque
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned and denounced recent statements made by an Israeli minister regarding the construction of a synagogue inside the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. In a firm response, the UAE reiterated its demand for Israel to respect the historical and legal status of the city of Jerusalem.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering stance on the necessity of providing full protection for Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Ministry called for an immediate halt to the serious and provocative violations occurring at the site and underscored the importance of respecting the custodial role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the holy sites, in line with international law and established historical agreements.
The statement further emphasized that the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment Administration, which manages the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque, must not be compromised under any circumstances.
The UAE also expressed its full solidarity and support for all measures undertaken by Jordan to safeguard and preserve sites of religious significance in Jerusalem. The Ministry’s statement reflects the UAE’s commitment to protecting the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and upholding the region’s historical and religious heritage.
