President Tokayev and President Aliyev Discuss Strategic Partnership in Key Phone Call

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, congratulating him on the successful conclusion of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary elections and the New Azerbaijan Party’s decisive victory.

During the call, President Tokayev lauded Azerbaijan’s political success and reaffirmed the strategic partnership between the two nations. President Aliyev expressed his appreciation for the congratulations and extended his gratitude to President Tokayev for the invitation to participate in the recent Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State.

President Tokayev praised Azerbaijan’s involvement in Kazakhstan’s 5th World Nomadic Games, noting the active participation of Azerbaijani athletes. In response, President Aliyev congratulated Kazakhstan on the event’s successful organization.

The two leaders discussed further strengthening cultural ties, including the upcoming Azerbaijan Culture Days in Kazakhstan, set to take place later this month. The presidents agreed that such initiatives reflect the growing bond between the nations.

Additionally, President Tokayev offered Astana as a platform for peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. President Aliyev welcomed the suggestion, indicating Azerbaijan’s openness to holding such talks in Kazakhstan.

The leaders also exchanged views on various topics related to the bilateral agenda, further enhancing the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
