UAE Participates in ICAO Air Services Negotiation Event in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), is actively participating in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN2024), taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, until October 25.
ICAN2024 is a premier platform for global aviation regulators, industry leaders, and stakeholders to engage in international air transport negotiations, aimed at strengthening aviation partnerships worldwide.
Led by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, the UAE delegation includes representatives from local entities and national carriers. During the event, the delegation is set to hold bilateral meetings with representatives from 20 countries, focusing on enhancing air transport agreements and expanding global air connectivity.
“Our participation in ICAN2024 highlights the UAE’s commitment to fostering robust international aviation relations and enhancing the 189 bilateral air transport agreements we’ve established globally,” Al Suwaidi remarked.
ICAN provides a critical opportunity for aviation authorities and stakeholders to negotiate agreements and collaborate on initiatives promoting a safer, more sustainable, and efficient aviation sector.
