Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On October 30 2024, as part of a joint fellowship program, Ms. Mehreen Gul, Deputy Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), led an engaging and interactive training session focused on European Union initiatives aimed at empowering Pakistani women.

During the session, Ms. Gul emphasized the importance of skill-building and entrepreneurship for rural women, providing valuable insights into various programs and strategies designed to support their development. She also highlighted EU initiatives that focus on women’s roles in climate solutions, digital skills development, green entrepreneurship, and mentorship and leadership programs for future local leaders. The EU’s initiatives empower Pakistani women through education, economic support, rural development, and climate action, offering the tools necessary for growth and success for those who actively engage with these programs to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

The training session concluded with a lively question-and-answer segment in which students actively participated, sharing their viewpoints and posing thoughtful questions. Ms. Gul addressed their inquiries with clarity, providing tailored advice and practical tips. In recognition of her efforts, Ms. Manal Tirmizi expressed gratitude to Ms. Mehreen for her time and the invaluable knowledge she shared during the session.

Currently, about 30 Master’s and Bachelor’s level students are participating in this fellowship program.
