Indonesia Motorcycle Show 2026 Set to Boost Economic Growth and Strengthen National Motorcycle Industry

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The 2026 Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) is expected to contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth by stimulating domestic demand and reinforcing the competitiveness of the country’s motorcycle industry, according to the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI).
Speaking on Friday, AISI Chairman Thomas Wijaya said the exhibition carries significance well beyond its role as a showcase. “This exhibition is more than just an event or showcase. It can stimulate market growth and maximize the contribution of the national motorcycle industry,” he stated.
Through a series of programs and activities, IMOS 2026 aims to enhance the industry’s competitive edge and support manufacturers in expanding their reach beyond the domestic market into international export markets.
Yosef Utama, AISI’s Chairman of Commercial Affairs and Chairman of the IMOS Organizing Committee, said this year’s exhibition, held under the theme “Riding Toward a Sustainable Future,” will feature at least 15 motorcycle brands and 53 supporting brands. The 10-day event is scheduled to take place from November 20 to 29, 2026, at ICE BSD in Banten.
He noted that the exhibition will offer motorcycle enthusiasts far more than vehicles alone, with a wide range of supporting products on display, including apparel, helmets, tires, lubricants, spare parts, and riding accessories.
“Visitors can take part in educational activities, including safety riding courses, talks, live quizzes, motorcycle modification competitions, and test rides of various models,” Yosef added.
Highlighting the extended duration of this year’s exhibition compared with the previous edition, Yosef expressed confidence that IMOS 2026 would record higher sales transactions than last year.
“We are optimistic that transactions will exceed last year’s results,” he said.
The exhibition is expected to serve as a key platform for industry stakeholders, consumers, and investors, reflecting the growing importance of Indonesia’s motorcycle sector to the national economy.
