Azerbaijan and Iran Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation at ECO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
Mashad, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, on the sidelines of the 28th meeting of the Foreign Ministers’ Council of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Mashad, Iran.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers discussed a broad range of issues concerning Azerbaijan-Iran cooperation, including areas such as economy, trade, investments, transport and communications, and energy security. They also reviewed joint initiatives and ongoing projects aimed at enhancing bilateral relations, according to reports from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministers emphasized the importance of expediting the finalization of communication links between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Azerbaijan’s Eastern Zangezur economic region. Additionally, both sides stressed the significance of fully implementing the agreements reached in previous discussions.
