Ajman to Host 5th Amina Hospital Half Marathon on December 29, 2024

Ajman, The Gulf Observer: The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has announced the launch of the 5th ‘Amina Hospital – Ajman Half Marathon,’ set to take place on December 29, 2024, at Al Safia Park. Organized by Endurance Sports Services Company, the event is one of Ajman’s most significant annual sports gatherings.

The marathon features a primary course of 21.1 km, alongside three additional distances of 10 km, 5 km, and 2.6 km, catering to participants across all age groups and fitness levels. With total prize money of AED 24,000, the race includes open and Emirati categories for both men and women.

Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of ATDD, highlighted the event’s alignment with Ajman Vision 2030 and the emirate’s commitment to promoting sports tourism. “This race reflects our dedication to organizing community events that enhance the emirate’s sports and social activities, highlight its position as a leading sports tourism destination, and contribute to improving the quality of life,” he stated.

Mohammed Ali Abdullah, Chief Operating Officer of Amina Hospital and Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group, expressed enthusiasm for the event. “This annual marathon demonstrates our commitment to supporting health awareness initiatives and strengthening Ajman’s healthcare sector,” he said, noting the event’s previous success.

Sponsored by Etihad Water and Electricity, the marathon is supported by key partners, including Ajman Police, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, the Zayed Knights Team, Majid Studio for Artistic Production, Gulfa Water, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Vitamin Well, Infinity Fitness, Ajman Hotel, Healthy and Tasty, Ramada Hotel and Suites by Wyndham Ajman, and Ajman Saray.

The marathon concludes a year of significant accomplishments for ATDD, showcasing its efforts to promote Ajman as a hub for athletic and tourism excellence.
