Turkmen Ambassador Delivers Invitation to OIC Secretary-General for Peace and Trust Forum

Jeddah, The Gulf Observer: The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Saudi Arabia, Orazmuhammet Charyyev, met with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Brahim Taha, in Jeddah on Friday. During the meeting, Ambassador Charyyev delivered an official invitation letter for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which is set to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat.
The invitation, presented on behalf of the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, highlights Turkmenistan’s commitment to fostering peace and trust on the international stage. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that the exchange marked a significant step in strengthening Turkmenistan’s relations with the OIC.
The two officials also discussed avenues for expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OIC. Established in 1969, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, headquartered in Jeddah, unites 57 member states and promotes solidarity among Muslim countries across political, economic, scientific, and cultural domains.
The meeting further underscored the growing collaboration between Turkmenistan and the OIC, as both parties expressed a shared interest in advancing peace, security, and mutual development within the Islamic world.
