President Tokayev Extends Easter Greetings, Emphasizes Unity and Spiritual Renewal

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his heartfelt greetings to the citizens of Kazakhstan on the occasion of Orthodox Easter, according to local media reports.
In his message, President Tokayev highlighted the profound spiritual significance of the holiday, stating: “This bright holiday represents spiritual renewal and purification, offering hope and joy to all who believe. It’s deeply symbolic that Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox Christians mark Easter on the same Sunday this year.”
The Head of State emphasized the meaningful contribution of Christianity and other religions to the spiritual and moral fabric of Kazakh society. He noted that Easter, rooted in high humanist principles, plays an essential role in nurturing family values, unity, and national solidarity, while also fostering kindness and mutual respect.
President Tokayev further expressed his confidence that Kazakhstan’s enduring values of nationwide unity, interethnic harmony, and interfaith understanding will continue to serve as the foundation for the country’s sustainable development.
As part of his commitment to interreligious dialogue and national cohesion, President Tokayev recently awarded Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan the Order of Dostyk (Friendship), 1st degree, in recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening spiritual and social harmony in the country.
