UAE and Türkiye Hold Inaugural High-Level Strategic Council Meeting to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, today co-chaired the inaugural meeting of the UAE–Türkiye High-Level Strategic Council, held in Ankara as part of His Highness’s official state visit to Türkiye.

The landmark meeting marked a significant step forward in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations. Both sides reviewed the development of bilateral cooperation across various sectors aligned with shared national priorities and interests. These include areas covered by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Türkiye, particularly economy, trade, technology, industry, renewable energy, and food security—recognized as key drivers of sustainable development in both countries.

President Erdoğan welcomed the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as an important moment in advancing bilateral ties at all levels. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation to serve the interests of their peoples and foster greater regional and international stability.

The discussions also addressed regional and global developments, with an emphasis on the Middle East. The two leaders stressed the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional and international crises. They underscored that regional peace is the foundation for achieving sustainable development and securing a better future for coming generations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the strength of UAE–Türkiye relations, which are grounded in mutual respect and a shared vision for regional growth, stability, and prosperity. He emphasized that the establishment of the High-Level Strategic Council marks a key milestone and serves as a platform for ongoing dialogue and coordination on matters of mutual interest.

President Erdoğan echoed this sentiment, reiterating his country’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the UAE in support of regional peace and progress. He also hosted a luncheon in honor of the UAE President and his accompanying delegation.
