Omani Civil Defence Delegation Visits Saudi Arabia to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority of the Sultanate of Oman, headed by Major General Sulaiman Ali Al Husseini, Chairman of the Authority, paid an official visit on Wednesday to the Directorate General of Civil Defence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The visit aimed to bolster cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of civil defence, enhance bilateral relations, and facilitate the exchange of expertise in emergency response and risk management.

The Omani delegation was received by Major General Dr. Hamoud Suleiman Al-Faraj, Director General of Civil Defence in Saudi Arabia, along with other senior officials.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Saudi Civil Defence Institute, where they were briefed on specialized training programmes provided to civil defence personnel at various levels. The delegation also reviewed modern techniques, advanced equipment, and systems currently employed by the institute in areas such as risk prevention and emergency response.

The visit reflects the shared commitment of Oman and Saudi Arabia to deepen cooperation in vital areas of public safety and disaster management, while continuing to strengthen their long-standing fraternal ties.
