Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Discuss Enhanced Cooperation in Transport and Logistics Sectors

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, held a meeting in Baku with Asel Zhanasova, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Kazakhstan Railways” National Company, who are currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including road freight transportation, air transport, and shipbuilding. Both sides emphasized the importance of fostering closer collaboration to enhance the efficiency and connectivity of regional transport networks.

Particular attention was given to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, widely known as the Middle Corridor. The discussions highlighted joint efforts to digitalize ports and logistics corridors, with a view to improving transit capacities and streamlining cargo operations across the region.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to advancing strategic infrastructure projects and deepening cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors in line with mutual interests and regional connectivity goals.
