President Ilham Aliyev Awards State Border Service Personnel for Distinguished Service

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed a series of decrees conferring high state awards and military ranks on personnel of the State Border Service in recognition of their distinguished service.

According to the decrees, the awards were granted for outstanding contributions to safeguarding the state border of Azerbaijan, preserving territorial integrity, and fulfilling duties entrusted to the border protection authorities.

Under the presidential decrees:

  • One individual was awarded the “Azerbaijan Flag” Order.
  • Two individuals received the 3rd-degree “Reshadat” Order.
  • Two individuals were awarded the 2nd-degree “For Service to the Motherland” Order, while one person received the 3rd-degree “For Service to the Motherland” Order.
  • Eleven individuals were awarded the “For the Motherland” Medal.
  • Two individuals received the “For Bravery” Medal.
  • Fifty individuals were awarded the “For Military Service” Medal.

In addition, through a separate decree, President Aliyev conferred new military ranks:

  • One officer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
  • Two officers were awarded the rank of Major General.

The decrees highlight the Azerbaijani leadership’s recognition of the dedication and service of the country’s border guards in strengthening national security and protecting the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
