Tajikistan Hosts VIII International Swimming Tournament Marking Independence Anniversary

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Awards were presented in the capital of Tajikistan to the participants of the VIII International Swimming Tournament, held from September 1 to 3 in celebration of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The competition brought together eight teams from six countries: Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, the Russian national team secured first place in the team standings, claiming 13 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medal. Belarus followed in second place with 8 gold, 12 silver, and 9 bronze medals, while Kazakhstan finished third with 3 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
Among other teams, Uzbekistan ranked fourth with 2 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze medals. The Tajikistan-1 team earned fifth place with 2 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals, while Tajikistan-2 and Tajikistan-3 also participated in the competition.
The winners were honored with medals, diplomas, and commemorative gifts.
According to the National Swimming Federation of Tajikistan, the tournament has become a significant event in promoting the growth and popularity of swimming across the country.
