Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A total of 36 out of 102 students who have been awarded the Presidential Scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year are studying at the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), according to the Order of President Ilham Aliyev titled “On Granting the Presidential Scholarship to Students Enrolled in Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 2025–2026 Academic Year.”

For the sixth consecutive year, BHOS has maintained its position as the leading higher education institution in Azerbaijan in terms of the number of Presidential Scholars. More than one-third of this year’s Presidential Scholarship recipients are BHOS students.

Among the BHOS Presidential Scholars, 11 are enrolled in the Department of Information Security, 8 in Chemical Engineering, 2 in Business Administration, 2 in Computer Engineering, 1 in Computer Science, and 12 in the newly established Finance Department.

This achievement once again underscores BHOS’s commitment to academic excellence and its reputation as one of Azerbaijan’s top institutions for nurturing high-performing and talented students in science, technology, and engineering disciplines.
