Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam Discuss Strengthening Bilateral and Parliamentary Cooperation
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, called on Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House on Monday.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran, enhancing parliamentary and economic cooperation, and discussing key regional and global developments.
During the meeting, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that relations between Pakistan and Iran are becoming stronger with each passing day. He noted that the two brotherly nations share deep-rooted bonds based on common religion, history, and culture.
Describing Iran as a trusted brotherly neighbour, the Speaker reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to further expanding cooperation with Iran, particularly in the parliamentary and economic sectors. He added that enhanced parliamentary linkages could play a vital role in further strengthening bilateral relations.
Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that the promotion of parliamentary and economic cooperation with Iran remains one of the top priorities of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He highlighted that parliamentary diplomacy serves as an effective means to bridge gaps, strengthen mutual understanding, and foster trust between nations.
The Speaker also underlined that both Pakistan and Iran have an important role to play in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Expressing gratitude to the people, government, parliament, and media of Pakistan, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam appreciated Pakistan’s consistent support for Iran at international forums. He said that Iran deeply values this enduring expression of brotherly solidarity.
The Iranian envoy lauded Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and thanked Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for his continued expression of support for Iran. He further underscored the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation to deepen bilateral ties and commended the Speaker’s proactive efforts to enhance communication and collaboration between the two neighbouring countries.
