President Tokayev Highlights Importance of Strengthening Kazakhstan–Switzerland Relations

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to deepening its long-standing partnership with Switzerland, describing the European nation as a reliable and trusted partner, according to the Akorda press service.
During a meeting with the Swiss parliamentary delegation, President Tokayev recalled his official visit to Switzerland in 2021, noting that it laid a solid foundation for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Head of State emphasized that the visit of the Swiss parliamentary delegation reflects the mutual desire of both nations to further develop comprehensive collaboration. He also underscored the significant role of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing mutual understanding and advancing bilateral engagement.
Filippo Lombardi, Coordinator of the Switzerland–Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group, expressed gratitude to President Tokayev for the warm reception and reaffirmed Switzerland’s keen interest in expanding partnerships and implementing joint initiatives with Kazakhstan.
The discussions also covered prospects for boosting trade and investment cooperation between Astana and Bern, as well as the importance of coordinating efforts within international organizations to address shared priorities and global challenges.
